Prompts for 10 April 2026 from Scoot
Write about a theater
iridescent anger
“don’t wait for it”
A character who has been practicing
Julie stood in the wings, waiting for the curtain to rise. She had been practicing her lines for a month, but in reality, she had practiced for this role her whole life. When the auditions were first announced six weeks ago, her instinct was to ignore the call, but a voice inside her said,
“This is your chance; don’t wait for it—take it.”
This was her opportunity to flip the script of her life and turn her walls of fear into something more like iridescent anger. She was ready when the director called,
“Places.”
Julie smiled inwardly and moved onstage.
I love an extra challenge. This one? 100 words and all four prompts.
